Steps for fundamentals Structural Design

Structural analysis is studying the after-effects of the loads on the structure and other physical components. It includes the analysis of structures like buildings, bridges, aircraft, and ships. Procedure to design a structure
These are procedures that define the Fundamentals of Structural Analysis design and help you build a strong structure.

Concept Design
This is the initial design of the building elements like slabs, beams, columns, etc. It begins by selecting the appropriate column positions and orientation to not interfere with the architectural image. For example, you do not want to have a column in the middle of the room. Also, at least 30% of the total columns must be in x- or y-directions to build adequate seismic resistance.

After that, the type of construction system is selected. For example, slabs can be selected as concrete slabs, hollow blocks, or flat slabs ... The position of the beam is determined accordingly.

Description of internal resources
After the initial design is completed, the exact dimensions of each building element are determined. First, an analysis model with initial measurements is built on analytics software such as SAP 2000. Then from the model, the internal forces of each element are calculated.

Passive design
Now you have the internal forces calculated on the elements based on the initial size, and you can use them to design according to the relevant code. The design process is made much easier by using some spreadsheet or other software that simplifies the design. Next, it should be modified to the new measurements obtained from the previous design, and the analysis can be run again. Internal forces are acquired and redesigned based on new forces.

Foundation Design
Once the members' final dimensions are found, the type of foundation system can be selected, taking into account the bearing capacity of the floor and the loading from the structure.

In this process, structural plans are made. These plans should be fully detailed so that the construction process on the site can run smoothly and not be delayed due to the lack of data and other relevant information.
